BESClient UI & Self-Service Application Client (SSA) - Linux?

There has been a recent desire by management to reign in the wild-west of Linux desktop endpoints and our first thought was to use BigFix since we already manage MacOS & Windows with it.

There are some significant gaps from what I’m noticing from an end-user POV though:
I can’t find a BESClientUI/TriggerUI style program (suggests there isn’t the ability to do offers, history, dashboards, etc) and a very Win95 looking “Take Action” or “Running” dialog system. So my mind flipped over to wonder about the SSA application since that offers a modern look-n-feel but this too appears to be only Win & MacOS.

Has anyone happened to expose either SSA or the ClientUI where I’m just missing something?
And if not are there plans to include making the Linux Desktop experience more of a first class citizen like Mac/Win or will it be left behind?

Our initial focus is on Ubuntu’s Desktop Image if that changes anyone’s suggestions/thoughts

Hey Nick. The BESClientUI does not work on Linux in the same was as Windows and Mac, which means that SSA won’t work how you’re wanting. I would strongly encourage you to raise this as a BigFix Idea and speak with your OM resources to push this requirement.

@Aram, please see @nuchtman SSA on Linux desktop requirement.

Thanks Casey, I’ve moved it to the BigFix Idea area & will follow-up.

For anyone who wanders into this topic, here is the idea link if you want to help up-vote it:
