BESClient Ubuntu arm64

Hi,

I’ve received a request to onboard a set of Ubuntu arm64 devices into BigFix, but I can’t find a BES Client build for Ubuntu arm64 on the BigFix download portal. I do see Ubuntu x86_64 packages and some ARM builds for other platforms, but nothing specifically for Ubuntu arm64.

  • Has anyone else run into this requirement?
  • Did you reach out to HCL Support, and if so, what was the response?
  • Any practical solutions or workarounds you’ve used in the meantime?
  • If you’ve succeeded on specific Ubuntu versions (20.04/22.04/24.04 on arm64), could you share details?

It’s not officially supported.
You could give a try using Raspbian package, as its OS is based on Debian: https://software.bigfix.com/download/bes/110/BESAgent-11.0.4.60-raspbian10.armhf.deb

“Thanks for sharing, I’ve cast my vote. The status is still Planning to implement, though Amazon Linux 2023 arm64 is already delivered.
