I receive this message after a reboot on several different machines.

BESClient.exe - Application Error

The Instruction at “0x7c910717” referenced memory at “0x00cdfb3d”. The memory could not be “read”.

Click on OK to terminiate the program

Click on CANCEL to debug the program

Just restarting the BES service seems to resolve the issue. Workstation is rebooted and the machine doesn’t show the error again. Just waiting now to see if the error message reappears.

The last thing that is a DSS scan. We investigated that and found that doesn’t trigger that error message.

Any ideas what this error message means?

Hmmm… There aren’t any known crash bugs like that in 7.2.4… If it keeps occurring (or if you want to look into it more), you should contact support. They will want to look at the crash dumps (I think the .dmp file will be in the agent folder, but I can’t remember exactly) and they will want to see if we can find a way to reproduce it.
