Hello,
I met the following problem on BES Server Gather Status Report:
"Id: 8 Date: Tue, 20 May 2014 06:39:08 +0000
Url:
http://sync.bigfix.com/cgi-bin/bfgather/patchingsupport
Error Message: 8: GetURL failure on
http://sync.bigfix.com/bfsites/patchingsupport_197/common.js
: HTTP Error 18: An unknown error occurred while transferring data from the server: transfer closed with 818775 bytes remaining to read"
Anybody meet this problem too? How it is possible to fix this error?
Thank you!

Can you try to hit the URL using a browser? Does it load successfully?
Its possible your AV or firewall is blocking parts of the site gather. Double check to make sure there are no restrictions.

Yes, I’ve tried it and in browser the site is available.
Hi @system ,
is the above issue resolved? I’m also facing the same issue, please provide a solution to remediate the issue if it was resolved.
Thanks

@bfadmin - we seem to have a few of these mentioned on the forums, a recent one here. Did this just start happening or was the server recently installed and it broke?
-@jgo
Greetings - We have installed BigFix 9.5.9.62 server on RHEL6 server and proxy server is configured in our network which blocks everything except the IBM public sites (sync.bigfix.com , software.bigfix.com etc.). We have configured the BigFix server to work with proxy server, but we’re continuously getting below error.
GatherDB.log
Fri, 15 Jun 2018 09:04:56 +0300 – Unexpected exception during gather of site BES Support: Unexpected HTTP response: 404
BESRelay.log

Thanks @jgo for ur reply,
The server is installed recently and this issue is captured in BESRelay.log file. Am I missing something in the configuration or this is the proxy who blocks the site content?
Or is it an issue with DB connectivity?
Thanks
