Hi all,

I’m having a problem with the BESGather service as it automatically stop everyday. I have to start the service on a daily basis else my agents will not be able to receive actions from the server.

I’m currently running an airgapped environment with BES Server Ver 6.0.20.9. My BES Server is a dedicated one with no other applications running on it. There are no event log on the BES Server for the failure of the BES Gather service. The latest error occurs about 2 weeks back when I was still version 5.1. Please see error message below.

“Faulting application BESGather.exe, version 5.1.0.105, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.1830, fault address 0x000224b2.”

Hey hkching,

BES 6.0.20.9 had an issue and you should upgrade to http://forum.bigfix.com/viewtopic.php?id=724

Also, note that the BESGather service is only required if you have a proxy required for Internet access (BES 6.0+). If you aren’t using it to access your proxy, you can just stop the service and everything should work.

If you continue to have issues, please start a support ticket.
