Hi all,
The BES Gather Service ocassionally terminates unexpectedly and we’re not sure why.
This has the effect of stopping deployments from working correctly so I have to manually start up the service again.
We’re running BES 7.2.5.22 on a Windows 2003 SP1 server. Xeon 3.2GHz quad, 3GB RAM. About 3600 BigFix client PCs.
I am unclear as to the situation relating to proxies. Yes our client PCs use web-proxies (an ISA array) but the server is setup for direct access.
As a workaround I have just changed the “First, Second and Subsequent” Recovery options on the BES Gather service to Restart the Service.
Please advise me on the best way to identify the cause of this problem and fix it, thanks.
