Hi Folks,
Started testing windows 7 for deployment and I can’t seem to get the Bigfix console installed on my computer. It appears that the installer from my deployment isn’t creating a system DSN entry. I haven’t tried to manually create it, but I was wondering if anyone else seemed to have this sort of issue.
I will try manually creating the System DSN tomorrow.
Any other suggestions?

I tried creating the connection manually. Did not let me. Exact error was “A connection to the “BES_EnterpriseServer” database could not be established. This probably means that either your network connection or that of the database server is down, or the database server is not running”… All other computers work fine at accessing Bigfix console, so it is not a database problem.
I have tried Googling it and to no avail. I might just have to call the support line and get some assistance with it from the tech team.

Is it a x64 machine? BigFix is a 32 bit application, so you have to use 32 bit ODBC. The one the install creates will only be visible in the 32 bit ODBC. Its common for people to accidentally use the x64 one (which is what control panel opens).
