BES 7.x Branding and Vista SP1

Hi All,

Currently testing BES 7.x in preperation for migratino from 6.x.

We were testing out the brnading in the offering po-up box, replacing the BES ico with a differnent one.

All worked well on W2K, XP and Vista. Then we tried on Vista SP1.

For some reaon this no longer seems to work, please see attachement for visual proof.

Are there any know issues with Vista SP1 and BES 7.x?

I just tried it on my Vista SP1 and it seemed to work fine…

I found this in our internal documentation… does this help:

  • If this file is present, the UI will override its default icons with the icon present in this file. For good display, this icon should have 8bpp, 16bpp, and 32bpp versions of its icon, in both 16x16 and 32x32 dimensions.
  • A Windows limitation prevents us from dynamically changing the icon that shows up when multiple UI windows get grouped into a single entry on the task bar, so if that happens the default BES icon will always appear.
  • The Client will look for this file in the “actionsite” folder if it does not find an icon in the UISupport or Reference folders.
