Ben is too modest a guy to tell you this, but he was quoted in Time magazine on the Daylight Savings Time issue.
And, no, he did not put me up to placing this item on the forum. In fact, I expect him in my cube to protest vehemently any minute now.

As a bit of background here… I chatted with the Time reporter (who was very nice) for over an hour about all sorts of bad things that we have seen happen with DST changes, the issues companies were having, all the time spent just trying to manage this pain, various serious disaster scenarios that are possible (some of which we have already seen), and so on… And in the end, my only quote is:
“Changing the time zone in some applications might throw others out of whack.”
I can’t complain about the accuracy and it certainly does sum up a certain theme to the conversation… but I can’t help think that maybe I had a better quote in there somewhere… =)
