Hi, i am quite new to big fix. i saw there is option of creating the baseline by which all the existing machines can met the baseline with the defined patches. now my question is suppose there is new machin added in to network and patch level is not as per defined in the baseline. so BES agent will automatically download the patches from server which are defined in the baseline or we need to push the baseline from BES console to the BES client.
I hope question is clear. please help me out with the dilemma
You can create a “Baseline” which can contain a collection of patches that you want to apply. After you create the Baseline, you can deploy the baseline with button in the Baseline description… This will bring up the “Take Action Dialog”. On the first tab you see (the “Target” tab), you will get to choose whether you want to apply to “Specific Computers …” – which you would select the computers… Or “All computers with the property values …” – which will include computers that become relevant in the future as long as the action is open (including computers that don’t yet have the agent installed).
My question is can we automate the baseline deployment. i.e patches will be pushed to the relevent client automatically as soon as machines becomes relevent for the baseline or it is a manual process.
