Automate relay assign

Hi!

We’re having the following issue with a client:

1- The client has about 200 Computer Groups
2- Each group is composed by:

  • Relay centOS
  • Computers X (Windows)

3- Each computer of every group should have the relay assigned to the correspondent centOS.

Example of a correct Computer Group:

001-ComputerGroup

  • centos001
  • computerX001 (relay assigned to centos001)
  • computerX001 (relay assigned to centos001)
  • computerX001 (relay assigned to centos001)

So far so well. The problem is that some computers of some groups have a differnet relay assigned.

Example:

001-ComputerGroup

  • centos001
  • computerX001 (relay assigned to centos001)
  • computerX001 (relay assigned to centos029)
  • computerX001 (relay assigned to centos001)

The manual solution for this is going group by group Editing computer settings and assign the relay. But as I said, there are about 200 groups and about 500-600 PCs with this problem.

What I’ve thought was to copy the action that changes the relay, but changing it’s relevance somehow it will know if the relay is correctly assigned or not (based on the nomenclature of the computer group/relay).

Is there any way to do this?

Thanks!

Hi Gabriel,

This sounds like a problem that could be fixed by using Relay Affiliation
