Apparently Adobe made changes to their downloads server

So it appears that Adobe has made some changes on the fpdownload.adobe.com server. Trying to get the binaries for Flash Player 32.0.0.156 this morning and was presented with a 404 error. Visiting http://fpdownload.adobe.com redirects to the End of Life (EOL) for Adobe Shockwave statement which specifically states:

Effective April 9, 2019, Adobe Shockwave will be discontinued and the Shockwave player for Windows will no longer be available for download.

Either they had an overly-enthusiastic system administrator who purged too much or they are moving to a model where only the most-current versions of their products will be available for general download.

Anyone have more insight they can share? Luckily we keep an archive of all referenced binaries so I was able to just pull it from there, but I’m sure a lot of folks don’t have that luxury.

Adobe has always removed previous versions of Flash Player from their main download site. The most current version is 32.0.0.171.

You can get the older versions here but slightly repackaged: https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html

Good to know. I’ve never needed it before so it was surprising this morning to see 404’s in my console.
