I’ve been trying to figure out why most of the 3rd party patches are not being included in my patch policies even though I checked “3rd party update.” I recently found out that some (or is it most?) of the 3rd party patches in
Updates for Windows Applications Extended site have a Severity rating of
Unspecified and my patch policies did not have Unspecified severity selected. I created a test policy and saw that it did resolve my issue.
So, I need to make a change to the currently running patch policy. Is there a way to immediately restart the policy after I make the change? My current schedule starts the day after Patch Tuesday and the next one is not until April 12.
