I’m evaluating using the IBM MDM solution for my client, but it appears the Android side of this product is woefully weak. Were are these features that we would normally see in a Android MDM product:
Allow/Disallow SD Cards
Allow/Disallow keyguard features
Allow/Disallow Screen Capture
Allow/Disallow Clipboard
Allow/Disallow Backup
Allow/Disallow Visible Passwords
Allow Emergency Calls Only
Allow/Disallow Mobile AP
Allow/Disallow SMS/MMS
Allow/Disallow Sync While Roaming
Allow Google Play, Youtube, Email, Browser, Settings, Gallery, Gmail, Google Maps, Voice Dialer, etc.
Allow/Disallow Bluetooth settings
Am I missing something, these are pretty standard in the other vendors serving up MDM.
There were a lot of features to support in the new Samsung SAFE offering so rather than wait to release all of them, we broke the features into chunks, prioritized them, and released them over time. You might want to check again because we have recently released a large chunk of SAFE functionality that includes the items you mentioned below. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Whoops… I accidentally spoke too soon… The updated SAFE features will be released shortly… More details about the features included will be available in the release notes…
