Android Anemia - Am I missing something here?

(imported topic written by SystemAdmin)

I’m evaluating using the IBM MDM solution for my client, but it appears the Android side of this product is woefully weak. Were are these features that we would normally see in a Android MDM product:

  1. Allow/Disallow SD Cards

  2. Allow/Disallow keyguard features

  3. Allow/Disallow Screen Capture

  4. Allow/Disallow Clipboard

  5. Allow/Disallow Backup

  6. Allow/Disallow Visible Passwords

  7. Allow Emergency Calls Only

  8. Allow/Disallow Mobile AP

  9. Allow/Disallow SMS/MMS

  10. Allow/Disallow Sync While Roaming

  11. Allow Google Play, Youtube, Email, Browser, Settings, Gallery, Gmail, Google Maps, Voice Dialer, etc.

  12. Allow/Disallow Bluetooth settings

Am I missing something, these are pretty standard in the other vendors serving up MDM.

Edit: Typo: Should read: “Where are these features . . . ?”

HI Karn,

Sorry for the delayed response…

There were a lot of features to support in the new Samsung SAFE offering so rather than wait to release all of them, we broke the features into chunks, prioritized them, and released them over time. You might want to check again because we have recently released a large chunk of SAFE functionality that includes the items you mentioned below. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks,

Ben

Sorry…
