Analysis - Causes agent communication?

I know this may be a very noob question but…here it goes…
Does an analysis causes BigFix to communicate with endpoint agents? Or the information his aggregated from previous agent reports?

For example, the new Windows 11 Eligibility Report?

The properties are always evaluated by the agent - the server does not derive or extrapolate the value of a new property, even if it appears that it already has sufficient information to do so.

You will see that for a new analysis (or even a new property in an existing analysis), you will not get a result for a client that is no longer on-line.
