In my Organisation ICMP is blocked over the network. we are having 4 to 5 level relay hierarchy between endpoints and TEM Server. In case of any failure endpoints needs to connect available relays automatically.
TEM server <----> TEM Relay ---------Manual Relay select
TEM Relay <----> TEM Client---------Automatic Relay configured
