Alert when anythings have changed

Hi Team ,

a lot of customer asked me about the TEM (Bigfix) can alert them when anythings have changed . (both H/W and S/W)

I known the Activity alert in the WebReport can sent when the information in the report have changed .

but the report doesn’t have difference the previously changed information to compare with latest information.

because of our competitor (Symantec Altiris , StarCat (my local software) can do that .

Do you have any idea about this ?

There are a number of different ways to achieve this… here is one example from a few years ago where Ben showed how to track RAM values changing:

The key element in any of this type of checking is that you have to record the old value somewhere so that it can be compared to the new value. The easy cross platform place to store such a value is in the Client Settings, however, you can also use the Windows Registry or log files in the file system (for non-Windows OSes).

I think this feature is very useful with the most customer , when the some part of the machine have stolen.
