Adobe Reader DC 2017 MUI supersedence/relevance

(moved to new topic from Content Modification Announcement - Updates for Windows Applications - Adobe Flash/Acrobat/Acrobat Reader)

@jeremylam I think there is an issue with the Adobe Reader DC 2017 relevance / supersedence.

Last month I deployed
"8101178 Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2017.011.30096 Available (MUI Installer) - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC - Classic Track" to my systems. At this point that fixlet is marked Superseded but I can’t find a “Classic Track” fixlet to apply .30099 for Acrobat Reader 2017.

In your list, I see a “Classic Track” update for Acrobat (not Reader) DC 2017 (9102018); and “Classic Track” update for Acrobat Reader 2015, but no “Classic Track” update for Reader 2017 or 2018.

Is this an oversight or has Adobe changed servicing again? If .30099 only applies to “Continuous Track” I wouldn’t have expected a Classic Track update for the writer to exist; and would expect that the previous .30096 update for Reader 2017 would not be superseded.

If the servicing hasn’t changed, I’m looking for a Classic Track update to .30099 for Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2017 MUI

Also fixlet “8200049 Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2017.011.30099 Available - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC - Continuous Track” hasn’t come up relevant on any of my systems (I think previous “Continuous Track” fixlets did). Relevance clause 10 appears to be looking for Reader 2015 rather than 2017?

Hi JasonWalker,

Adobe hasn’t changed their servicing. Fixlet 8200049 is invalid and has been removed.

The Fixlet you want to apply to your systems is 8101180, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2017.011.30099 Available (MUI Installer) - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC - Classic Track.
