Adobe Flash "Emergency" Patch

(imported topic written by jnichols91)

Looks like Adobe is releasing new versions of Flash in response to a vulnerability already being seen in the “wild”:

Yes, please get this added as a fixlet.

Also, with the older Adobe Flash fixlets, why is Win8 and Win2012 being excluded? As with Adobe Reader X and Adobe Acrobat X updates, I need to make a copy, then edit the relevance, in order to make them applicable for Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012.

E.g., from the fixlet: Flash Player 11.5.502.146 Available - Internet Explorer Critical Updates for Windows Applications Update 15.01 MB Adobe APSB13-01 1/8/2013

Relevance 6

(it != “WinNT” AND it != “Win95” AND it != “Win2000” AND it!= “Win8” AND it != “Win2012”) of name of operating system

Nevermind the Windows 8 comment. That is only applicable for Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat. My internal documentation tells me I haven’t been pushing out flash updates to Win8 and Win12 as flash is built to those. Nevermind. Still, the Acrobat hurdle annoys me, as you can probably infer.

Has this fixlet been released yet? It’s not showing up for me yet. I have a compliance due date of 2/15/2013.

Thanks,

Mark

The current interation on Adobe’s site is 11.6.602.168 and the fixlet is trying to pull Flash Player (11.5.502.149).SO we are getting SHA1 mismatches on the downloads.
