We have one relay that is failing the Actionsite Versions health check. We are currently on Actionsite version 630 and this Relay is stuck at 617. We have 40 Relays and all other Relays have an up to date actionsite version. There is sufficient disk space on the relay and I have restarted the BES relay service. The Big Fix server is Server 2008 and the relay is Server 2003. We are using the Big Fix console with Trend Micro and I can not find the specific version of the ESP console but it is still version 7.

I’ve seen this happen on several relays. The only solution I’ve come across is to uninstall the relay and then reinstall it. Hopefully someone has a better answer than that though.

You probably have some corrupt metadata in your relay. We see that from time to time. Try the following steps:

Stop the relay service.

Clear \relay\filldbdata*.tmp

clear \relay\mirror server\revocationlist*.pem

clear \relay\uploadmanagerdata*.tmp

clear \relay\wwwroot\bfmirror\bfsites*.*

Start the relay service.

Optional: cycle bes client on relay.

The next request the relay gets will prompt it to download a fresh set of metadata and revocation list. Give it a few minutes to get back in sync.

Thanks for the tip JonL, I will give that a shot the next time relay stops updating

I ended up uninstalling the relay from this server and after reinstalling it everything synced up nicely. Thanks for the responses and next time I will will try the method JonL presented.
