I’d like to have patch baselines available as offers (for when the techs are on-site), but also automatically execute during formal patch windows.
Is there a way for an offer to auto-execute during the action’s start/end window?
The only way I can think of off the top of my head to do this is to take 2 actions.
One that is not an offer and is constrained to only run during a patch window, and another that is an offer that is not constrained to run only during a patch window.
Given the way in which offers are meant to work I don’t think it’s possible to do this. You would need to run a second action that isn’t an offer to force the client to accept it for the user.
I might be misunderstanding, but I think what you want is to set a deadline (Messages -> Set deadline). Would this give you the desired effect?
An offer and the Message deadline aren’t the same thing but you could use that instead of a formal “Offer” to take the action but have the message come up and set the deadline to your patch window.
