Action to send WoL Messages

Hi

I am in the middle of a WoL deployment.
BigFix’s regular WoL feature does not use actions to deliver WoL message.

I think, a WoL task can be delivered to agent (this is the point named as Last Man Standing or WoL Forwarder), and then, this agent sends the magic packet to target pc which we want to wake up.

for example, the action script may be below
dos wolcmd mac ip subnet port
dos wolcmd 009027a324fe 195.188.159.20 255.255.255.0 7

What is your goal with using Actions to send the Wake On Lan packet?

Does Right Click -> Send Wake On Lan Request not work for you?

If you’re trying to schedule the Wake-On-Lan, you should use the Wake On Lan Medic and corresponding dashboard in BES Support
