Acrobat Reader update support

Hello,

I’m curious regarding Acrobat Reader patch support.
For Windows, Acrobat Reader updates are supported.
However, Mac does not support Acrobat Reader updates.

What I’m talking about is “Acrobat Reader”, which is different from “Acrobat Reader DC”.
“Acrobat Reader” is free and “Acrobat Reader DC” is paid.

I’m curious as to why it supports Windows but not Mac.

The Adobe products are:

  • Acrobat Reader
  • Acrobat Standard
  • Acrobat Pro

On Windows, I believe the 64-bit app is unified so all three are really the same application with different licenses determining functionality.

On macOS, Reader and Acrobat are separate and I think Acrobat Standard and Pro are the same app, just different licenses.
