Ability to evaluate superseded Linux content

Basically our issue is that we use Fixlet Severity as key for whether we require users to install a patch. Recently a spectre/meltdown microcode_ctl fixlet from the RHSA channel was superseded by one from the RHEA channel which doesn’t have a fixlet severity. Now we either have to re-architect our dashboards or try to create a new system for addressing these issues without opening the floodgates on all RHEA/CEAA content.

Would a dashboard that converts the Fixlet for you help?

Not really, we rely on the external sites and are heavily invested in our custom big data and dashboarding solution. So we would need a dashboard that could strip the false clause from the superseded fixlet, or the ability to assign a custom severity to the superseding fixlet in the external site.

BUT. This is assuming we know that the fixlet was superseded in a case similar to this, which we didn’t for over a month.
