Hi all
My first question is how does the BES client and the ILMT work to recognize the “hostname” because when a maintenance was done the ILMT detected the “hostname” in pvu subcapacity product report with a different name taking serial number and model as “host name” and leave the previous one with “date of last seen” (previous doing the DRD) the infrastructure team tells me is what they use in those maintenances. The last time this was done, it caused more pvus to be registered just for one server, because was see it by ILMT at some point like two different servers and I can’t remove them (pvus difference) so that they don’t appear in the ILMT home, only if I change the view (range of date like 30 days) of the subcapacity pvu report is it possible to avoid the report with that amount.
I would like to know if it is possible to avoid or what would be the procedure that I can do to solve that change, or prevent the infrastructure team from using DRD, because I can have problems in ILMT every time a DRD is done, please can someone help me.
The environment is HP-UX and ILMT 9.2
Thanks in advance!
