9MB FillDB Log

(imported topic written by jpeppers91)

My Filldb log file is 9MB. That seems a little excessive. I keep seeing this entry over and over, any ideas?

Discarding siteelement because the URL http://sync.bigfix.com/cgi-bin/bfgather/mobilesecurity doesn’t have a known sitename mapping…

It’s also possible that the site was already removed but there are still BES Clients reporting data about Fixlets from that site, basically the client hasn’t run an action which ‘unsubscribes’ it from the fixlet site.

A 9MB FillDB log file isn’t too excessive so I wouldn’t worry about it quite yet  If you want to clear it, simply rename the file and new log will be created. You can then save the old log for history or just delete it. You do not need to stop the FillDB service to do this.

Also, you might notice that there is a Fixlet to help in the BES Support site ‘WARNING: BES Server FillDB Log File Size Greater Than 1GB’ and a health check in the Deployment Health Checks dashboard.

Since I don’t see a site for mobile security, so you think it’s the clients still reporting it? Will it eventually cease?
