_BESClient_Resource_QuietSeconds question

(imported topic written by SLB)

If you enable the _BESClient_Resource_QuietEnable setting do you have use the _BESClient_Resource_QuietSeconds and _BESClient_Resource_QuietStartTime or can you just set _BESClient_Resource_QuietSeconds?

We’re basically looking to delay the activity of the BESClient for say 5 mins as system start time when all the other system services are starting up. In Vista this is easilly done by setting the BESClient as Auto (Delayed Start) but we need to do this for both Vista and XP.

TIA

You do need to use the QuietStartTime along with the QuietSeconds. I’m trying to think of a good way to get the effect you are looking for but nothing great is coming to mind.

I suppose you could create a windows logon or startup script that sets the two settings. If that gets run before the client has a chance to do much work that would do it.
