is there any way to get the “manifacture date” from BIOS - I see it, as the only way to report a computer age (windows only)

The answer to this would depend on the BIOS in question, and the Manufacturer that built the system…
For example, some manufacturers are great about storing the Make/Model/Serial Number in the BIOS (Dell, Lenovo, etc), but others seem to store Generic information for things like the Serial Number (Aberdeen, Inc with the motherboard from Supermicro leaves 1234567890 as the Serial Number on ALL systems).
