Windows Patch 2794220 will not stop reporting

(imported topic written by SystemAdmin)

I have a question about a Windows hotfix that was released on December 31st of last year. The hotfix is 2794220 and has to do with a vulnerability in older versions of Internet Explorer. I ran the patch on all applicable workstations, and they all reported as “fixed”. But the fixlet is still reporting as relevant. It appears as though one of the conditions for relevance, condition 6 to be precise, still exists on the workstations. This is a “display name” value of one of the keys in the “unistall” folder of the registry. Is anyone else having a problem with this particular fixlet? I want it to stop showing up as relevant so that it doesn’t skew my reporting. I don’t want to globally hide it, as I’m not even sure if the fixlet was applied properly when it ran. If anyone has any insght into this I’d appreciate it.
