We had this problem earlier with an older agent version, but now the current 7.2.5.22 version is showing Windows 7 systems as OS of Unknown 6.1.7600, and OS type of Unknown. The only way to get them to display correctly is to include machines when the full OS name and SP level contain “Windows 7” as Workstations with relevance.

I am experiencing the same thing and have cleared my console cache.

In my case, we have a policy that is supposed to upgrade older versions of the agent (on all systems) to the new/current version. There are a subset of (all machines) Win7 systems that for some reason will not update to the new agent via the policy. These are the ones that still report Win7 as Unknown.
No idea why the policy update is not working on these machines (both Win7 and XP), even though we have refreshed and re-synched them, but that seems to be the root of the problem.
