When taking action on a custom task console opens a browser window

We have a custom task created in our envrioment that just copies a text file to a location on a workstation. This task was working fine in version 7. After we upgrade to verson 8 when we select the description tab for the Task and take action the console opens an internet explorer window to the following location

cid:Action1

I edited the task and verified that the Script Type for both actions in the task are set to BigFix Action Script and not URL. I even tried setting it to URL then back to Action Script but that didn’t correct the issue.

Why is this happening? We have two actions in this custom task both have the Script Type set to BigFix Action Script. The 2nd action (not default) opens the Take Action Dialog box just fine.

I decided to create a new task by hand and copy and paste the action scripts and relevance over. This seems to have corrected the issue. When doing a custom copy the problem was still present.
