The person that setup our BigFix environment fat fingered the URL for web reports. I’ve tried changing the URL by modifying the _WebReports_HTTPServer_HostName setting through the BES console, and through the registry directly. The setting will persist through restarting the server and the web reports service, but always revert when I upgrade BigFix to a new version. Where is it getting this setting from? Obviously, this is only an issue whenever I upgrade BigFix. But, it’s an annoying one, and it always breaks server automation because of the reliance SA has on web reports.
Hmm…not certain this is correct, but try checking the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\BigFix\Enterprise Server\Installer -> Hostname
Well, the typo is definitely in that spot as well. I’ll make the change to see if it helps. Unfortunately, I won’t know if it worked until the next BigFix version comes out. I’ll try and remember to report back if it worked then. Appreciate it.
