Last month, I created a Filter in the BigFix Web Reports that has specific Fixlets selected. I now want to add some additional Fixlets to that Filter, however, I cannot figure out how to do this within the BigFix Web Reports. Editing the Filter seems like the way to do this, however, there is no option that I can find to add new Fixlets. I would rather not have to create a new filter every month.
You can edit the filters, but I think the behavior that you are seeing is that the filters apply immediately to the rest of your filter choices… Which would mean that if you are using “Include” filters, you won’t even see the other Fixlets.
Here are three things you might want to do:
Use site filters + “Exclude” filters so that each month you only need to exclude new Fixlets.
If you are always looking at the same Fixlets and ignoring others, you might want to hide them using the “Globally Hide” option in the console, and then they won’t show up in web reports.
You might make a collection of “Saved Filters” into one master filter and recreate that each month (which is easier than re-picking all the Fixlets).
