Using an existing license to install an addition server.?

Hello,

We have an IEM server bought for 1500 clients (Endpoints) right we manage 1400 endpoints. a new need for an additional server to cover another infrastructure environment just comes up,

can i use the existing license into the new server ? the new server will have for sure another FQDN and another IP.

Is this possible ? or we need another license file ?

Forgot to mention that into the new server we will use the remaining 100 clients only and not more.

You’d need to contact IBM Support to create a new Masthead file identifying your new BigFix server. They should be able to split the licenses between the old and new mastheads.

You should be able to do this directly from subscribenet: https://tem.subscribenet.com/control/ibmt/login

You should be able to reduce the license count for your existing license to 1400 and generate a new BESLicenseAuthorization file for the new environment.
