We have WARNING: Upload Manager Directory Full - BES Server / Relay relevant on one of the relays.
The issue is that it has one file under BigFix Enterprise\BES Relay\UploadManagerData\BufferDir\sha1.
This folder is empty under all other relays in the environment, but we found the same one (with an _ in front of the name) on the main server in temp folder BigFix Enterprise\BES Server\UploadManagerData\BufferDir\Temp.
Do you know which files go to temp folder?
On a relay/server the stuff to upload is first received from the child agent/relay as a file. This file is temporary, have a name starting with underscore and is saved under the UploadManagerData\BufferDir\Temp directory.
Once the file has been completely received, it is moved under the UploadManagerData\BufferDir\sha1 directory with its real name and only at that point is managed on the server ( it is indexed on the db ) or uploaded to the parent relay/server on the relay ā¦
About the warning, the cause this temporary directory is full on the server can depend from several reasons, requires a little bit of analysis. Iād suggest to open a PMR and let the support team to work -> http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21505708
That was my suspicion as well, that it was an incomplete upload.
