Hello,
Does the order of the new DSS updates make a difference? The new KB article on updating, lists the instructions for the log uploads before the SAM scanner update. However, it does not state they have to be done in that particular order. Wondering if I can start testing the scanner update on some workstations - before making the global change to the log uploading. Thanks!

Hi Mike,
Technically it doesn’t matter if you update SAM Scanner first or update the Upload task to use compressed uploads first – they are independent. If you chose compressed uploads, the upload task will take whatever index file is there, compress it, and upload it.
However, per the instructions, if you’re going to use compressed uploads, be sure to clean the uploads directory on the server first.
