There’s currently no feed for how to update the “Installer” mastheads. For instance, when you receive a new license from BigFix corporate, and you use the KB directions to properly activate the new license, and you propogate the new masthead, the current BigFix KB forgets to inform you that you must also update the Installer mastheads.
To update the installer mastheads, find the original installation executable file on your BF server, in my case it was “BES-7.2.5.22.exe”. If you can’t find it, you can download it again, but make sure you get the correct version for your enclave. Run that executable, and the BigFix Enterprise Suite Installer" wizard will pop-up. It takes a minute to load. Then select the button for “I want to replace the masthead file in my installation”. Click Okay, and you should get a confirmation that your installer mastheads have been updated. Then click cancel to get out of the wizard, if needed.
POI: You may think you need to use an “Update Installer” Fixlet to do this, but that is the harder way to do it, and in my case, the fixlet wouldn’t even show as relevant, so it wasn’t an option for me.
