Hi

I also facing the same problem. That is for me also it is showing only asset id and other fieds are empty. Any one provide help for this issue.

Hey guys,

It might be an issue with the unmanaged asset importer… you might need to upgrade it to a newer version, but you should start a support ticket to see if they can identify the specific issue.

Hi,

I have a very strange problem with the “Unmamged Assets” tab. It doesn’t show any results of the “NMAP Scan” (appears blank). At the client side I can see the xml file with the results of the last scan, but the results didn’t appear at the “Unmamged Assets” tab. Thank you for any ideas.

Hi charicool,

Check two things:

  • Make sure the NMAP Importer is installed and running.
  • Make sure that your user privileges to view the unmanaged assets (check BESAdmin).

Thank you very much Ben,

The service “BES NMAP Unmanaged Asset Importer” was instaled, but your answer causes me to check the settings of the service. It was run with the “Local System Account”. I changed it to the account that have administrative rights to BES SQL DB and after restart of the service - here is it - I can see the results from all the scans, from all points.

I had the same problem and fixed it by changing the service user for one that could access SQL.

Ben maybe this should be added to the diagnostic tool: check if the BES NMAP Unmanaged Asset Importer service can access the database.

Thanks guys… we are looking to get a better system for remote database access for these type of server plug-ins… we are working on it and hopefully it will be released soon to save some of these types of issues…
