Is it possible to create a property within Bigfix to find the Oracle database application and also retrieve version information?

Sure… Which operating system and major version of Oracle are you guys using?
I have seen other customers run a small utility that spits all the relevant Oracle information into a file and then report the file contents in a property. I haven’t worked with Oracle much myself, but the first question to ask is how you would figure out what version of Oracle you were running if you were sitting at the computer?
