Unable to register the Bigfix client, getting error "RegisterOnce: GetURL failed - General transport failure. - Windows Error 0x800c0007: No data is available for the requested resource."

Hi,
We have recently setup the internet relay server for client machines to register and sync. However we are unable to synchronise the client machines from internet to Root server. We are getting the below error message in log file.

“RegisterOnce: GetURL failed - General transport failure. - Windows Error 0x800c0007: No data is available for the requested resource.”

Can someone check and help/guide to solve the above error message.

Hi,

Please check if BigFix traffic is allowed from port 52311 from clients to relay. You may also need to check the DNS entries as well.

We checked the network traffic also and it allowed for 52311 port. We tried by creating the entry in the host file also. But no luck.

This feels like Proxy or Boundary Firewall is filtering or blocking certain types of traffic. Ask your network team about port 52311 traffic getting dropped or modified.
