Hi. I have BES Console ver 7.2.5.22. I’ve noticed that I can no longer copy/paste into the description box when creating a task. I asked a colleague to try and same result. I know that it could be done in early versions. Is this by design?

I do not have that issue on my 7.2.5.22 installation.
Are you using hot-keys for cut-paste or right-click-copy right-click-paste? I have noticed that I’m not able to use the hot-key when cutting from a existing Fixlet description… I need to right-click-copy. The hot-key for paste does work for me.

Haven’t tried this myself, but JonL suggests you check your IE security settings:

Perhaps the “Allow Programmatic Clipboard access” setting?

Noah is on the right track. IE security settings can block copy/pasting in certain instances, flash player and other embedded content can steal key strokes, etc. This has plagued us in various places in the console for a long time, but good news! In 8.0 we think we have finally licked this one. Fyi, the first bug in the chain of copy/paste issues was filed in August 2005. So far the new implementation is working everywhere for me.
