Troubleshoot Failed Application of Patch

What logs can be reviewed to determined why a particular patched failed to apply during an action?

In this case the first Action failed. It was scheduled on other devices as well. Another action was created specific only to this device. It applied a patch, but the one it failed on previously was now not relevant according to the new action. Subsequent to that action and now outside the scheduled downtime, the device shows relevant to the patch. The patch is MS13-098.

This is a windows update, so I would check the BigFix client log as well as the Windows Update log.
