As Ben mentions in http://forum.bigfix.com/viewtopic.php?pid=23333#p23333 there are many great new features in 8.0. For example, we added many inspectors, among them are a few that will enable visibility into host/guest relationships for ESX and Hyper-V deployments. More details are available here:

So with 18 hours of experience under my belt, my favorite new console feature is the “Move to new window” functionality. Undockable windows rock!
@Johnathan Fan - The new dashboard looks promising. Will it work with ESXi based hosts?

Hey John,
ESXi doesn’t let you run an agent on the host, we’re investigating other ways of supporting it, but don’t have support at this time.

My favorite new feature is live search on pretty much any list in the console or web reports. It makes finding the exact thing I’m looking for so much faster!

my favorite feature is the rebuild of Web Reports Much easier to create a simple view of an asset and certain properties, along with multiple charts. In my opinion, WR finally got up to the level that it should have been at.

Ok, I just tried live search (I’ve been too busy clicking on everything else to test it) and you are correct, it is now my favorite feature. I just got into web reports for the first time and having live search there as well is incredible. I’m slightly thrown off by the new interface in web reports, but I’d agree with cstoneba that web reports finally grew up.
As for ESXi, that’s been the problem for quite some time. We finally have one tool that can monitor it somewhat effectively from a network / server perspective. Hopefully you can do something with the api, perhaps using vSphere server as the agent computer.

Small item, but I am easily pleased. 
Select a bunch of items in the list (top right box), such as Computers or Fixlets.
You can “Copy Text with Headers”.
To be fair, this was possible in 7.x via right-click relevance, but this is now a first order feature.
