TEM 8.1.0 evaluation and Patches for WIndows English

I have installed Tivoli Endpoint Manager Platform Installer V8.1.0 Windows Multilingual (CZZ5FML) in evaluation mode for training purposes. Do not see site for Patches for Windows (English) below or masthead file of *.efxm below. How do I add Patches for Windows English to evaluation copy to test patching for Windows? Noticed http://support.bigfix.com/bes/misc/nonenglish.html for non english Patches for Windows mastheads. Could not find masthead for Patches for Windows English.

Hi Ben:

Is there a EnterpriseSecurity masthead file that I can download from what URL? In there a TEM 8.1 evaluation console navigation to perform to turn on the EnterpriseSecurity or Patches for Windows (English) site?

The evaluation version does not have BigFix Management > License Overview to enable sites like I noticed from taking a 2 day TEM 8.1 course.

Just noticed the Enterprise Security.efxm file in my directory listing output. Looks like with your post of “EnterpriseSecurity”, that I need to use this masthead file Enterprise Security.efxm for Patches for Windows (English).

Noticed from page 50 of TEM 8.1 Administrator’s Guide, the procedure to follow of:

To subscribe to a site, follow these steps:

  1. Find an appropriate Site. Finding a Site is equivalent to finding a Site masthead file, which has an extension of .efxm. There are several ways to do this:
  • Fixlet Sites: IBM might post a links list to new Sites as they become available.
  • Fixlet Subscriptions: Sometimes a Fixlet message might offer a subscription. Click the Fixlet action to initiate the subscription.
  • Download Mastheads: You can also subscribe to a Site by downloading a masthead file from a vendor’s website. After the masthead is saved to your computer, you can activate it in one of the ways described below.

  1. Double-click the masthead, or select Add External Site Masthead from the Tools menu and browse to the folder containing the masthead.

  2. You are prompted for your private key password. Type it in and click OK.

  3. The masthead is propagated to all Clients, which immediately begin to evaluate the Fixlet messages from the new site.
