BigFix Patch is pleased to announce extended content support for Ubuntu Pro 18.04 and 20.04

New Patch Sites:

We are introducing two dedicated sites that utilize Ubuntu's default package manager, apt-get:

Site Name Supported Repositories
Patches for Ubuntu Pro 1804 bionic-infra and bionic-apps
Patches for Ubuntu Pro 2004 focal-infra and focal-apps

License Requirements & Prerequisites:

Access to these new sites requires entitlement to any of the following BigFix licenses:

  • BigFix Remediate

  • BigFix Lifecycle

  • BigFix Compliance

  • BigFix Workspace / Workspace+

  • BigFix Enterprise / Enterprise+

Actions to Take:

  • Subscribe to Sites: Enable the relevant sites via the License Overview dashboard. (Requires BigFix Client version 10.0 Patch 1 / 10.0.1.41 or later).

  • Download Plug-in: Install Download Plugin form the Download Plug-ins dashboard.

License Refresh (If Needed): If the sites are not listed in the License Overview dashboard, click "Check for license update" and run the BigFix Administration Tool (BFAdmin.exe).

  • Patches for Ubuntu Pro 1804: Site Version 1

  • Patches for Ubuntu Pro 2004: Site Version 1

  • Patching Support: Site Version 1344 or later
