IBM has modified the umask in which the Linux besclient runs. They changed the umask to 077 starting with version 9.0. If your environment is such that a umask of 077 causes problems, you can edit this file to change it: /etc/init.d/besclient
Although more secure, a umask of 077 may cause access permission problems on files that the besclient handles (downloads, moves, etc). Changing the umask should alleviate the file access permission problems caused after upgrading to, or installing version 9.0 IEM\TEM\BigFix agents on Linux.
Fortunately it is possible to change the umask with a fixlet or task, although the besclient will need to be restarted for it to take effect.
