Since inetd.conf is deprecated Solaris 10 in favor of SMF/inetadm, I’m looking for a new way to query the (a) ‘enabled’ status and (b) ‘state’ of certain Solaris 10 inetd services, e.g. telnet, via Relevance. The only file (I know of) to parse is /etc/svc/repository.db, which unfortunately in this case is a SQLite 2.1 database and cannot be parsed using the file/line inspectors in Relevance.
I’m trying to avoid running separate tasks and/or cron jobs on the clients to populate an answer file of sorts. Any ideas?
