Site Propagation aborted by BES Server

(imported topic written by JasonO91)

Randomly when performing any task that must commit to the server, we are getting the following error:

Propagation Error

Site propagation aborted by BES Server for the following reason:

class FileMoveError

Any hints as to why this is happening?

We are running version 7.2.4.60

Thanks,

Jason

Seems like you have a problem copying files around on your BigFix Server… Perhaps try to add an exclusion for the BigFix Server folder/temp folder for your anti-virus product and see if it helps.

A bit of follow-up.

Excluding the temp and BigFix directory seems to have resolved this issue.

On performing some tasks it showing some error.

Site propagation aborted by BES Server for the following reason:

unable to launch commit script.

Any idea to solve this issue.

Hey saravanan,

That will occur if your server can’t launch one of the scripts that copies files around the system… This is rare but I have seen it before if your configuration files are very messed up or if something prevents a batch file from launching (like some sort of execution prevention mechanism or if cmd.exe is moved).

It would be best to contact support for a resolution.
