SHA1 directory gets emptied

(imported topic written by simongarner91)

All,

I have a strange problem and can’t work out what is going on.

I run BigFix in an Air-Gap solution. I download the fixlets & patches without a problem.

I transfer this to a removable hard disk and connect to each of my environmental BES Main Servers.

No one BES server is able to see the other.

All servers take the new messages and SHA1 directory information without a problem. (I use robocopy of copy the contents of the sha1 directory)

On checking the servers some hours later, 1 of them has emptied the SHA1 directory of all of it files. The other servers are fine and all of the files are still in there.

Any ideas or advise?

Hello,

The BigFix Server/Relay will use a “Least Recently Used” cache scheme and if the cache grows bigger than its setting (default 1 GB), then it will remove files until it is below its cache setting. You should double-check your cache sizes. Please see: http://support.bigfix.com/cgi-bin/kbdirect.pl?id=232 for more info.
