Send Refresh ok in client log. Console "Last reported" not updated

Hi All,

Bit confusing here. I noticed yesterday that no clients appeared to be responding, checking again this morning the most recent “last reported” time is 13:27 yesterday. I have checked the client on one of my relays and that receives the Send Refresh ok and logs it has posted a response, but nothing changes in the console. I have pruned exipred and stopped actions as the BESMirrorRequest portion of the BES Diagnostics was failing, but it is now reporting ok.

It maybe a couple different issues. One your BESConole cache maybe currupted. Or the best place to look after that is the BufferDir and see if files are backing up there. You can also look at the filldb.log to see if there are errors.

Hi wnolan! Thanks for the tips, unfortunately I’d already cleared the cache to no avail, but your other suggestions really helped me track things down. Indeed the BufferDir was stacking up and the filldb.log was reporting it was unable to access the DB. In the end it turned out to be the User and Password values in HKLM\Software\Bigfix\Enterprise Server\Database were missing (running in SQL auth mode due to multiple non-connected domains where consoles live) - bounced services and Hey Presto!
